Three bits of news in this email…
Firstly a reminder about the Tenth OutWest Annual River Shannon Cruise a week on Friday. Get your tickets now whilst they are still available. Twenty-five euro gets you a night of cruising, music & dancing, and even a buffet meal! Ring the OutWest info line to book your ticket (087 972 5586). Full details of the cruise are given below.
Secondly a reminder about the OutWest Clothing Appeal. If you have you any old clothing, old shoes, old bedding or other fabrics - it doesn’t really matter too much about their condition just as long as they are not soiled - OutWest will be able to recycle them to raise much needed funds for the OutWest Gay Helpline. So if you can donate such items please bring them along to any OutWest meeting (such as the Tenth Annual Shannon Cruise) and hand them to any OutWest committee member. You will be helping a very worthy cause.< /div> Thirdly a note for your diary. OutWest will be holding a fund-raising walk on Sunday 11th September. Funds raised will go towards the OutWest Gay Helpline, an essential service for many people in the West of Ireland. We shall be climbing Knocknarea in County Sligo. More details will follow closer to the time. That’s all for now - details of the cruise below (including bus and train times to Dublin for the Pride parade the next day).

CRUISE DETAILS:
- DATE: Friday, 24th June 2011
- VENUE: Moon River, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim (beside the bridge – opposite Landmark Hotel))
- MUSIC: OutWest are delighted to welcome the ever popular Betty Herring back as DJ for this event.
- BOARDING: 8:30pm for a 9:00pm sailing. We shall return to Carrick briefly around 11:00pm before setting sail again until approx 2:30am Music, dancing and craic till the wee small hours! Full bar facilities on board.
- TICKET PRICE : 25 euro (A buffet meal will be included in the ticket price)

Transport: As the Cruise is the the night before the Dublin Pride Parade, the following information may be of interest to those of you that wish to travel up to Dublin the day after the Cruise.
